  • Yes, anyone over the age of 16 will need to purchase and print out a fishing license, and it is encouraged that you purchase them prior to the trip. The cost of a one-day nonresident fishing license is $15. King Salmon stamps are $15 per day (only required for King Salmon). You can buy an Alaska fishing license here.

  • Stout Sportfishing is Coast Guard Certified and has life jackets on board for every individual on the boat.

  • If you are a cruise ship passenger, you will be picked up from the dock. If you are not from a cruise ship, we will arrange a meeting spot prior to your trip.

  • Bring warm clothes, shoes or boots (ideally waterproof), rain gear, hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

  • Absolutely! We welcome any and all levels of experience and can provide as much guidance as needed. We love showing people the ropes of fishing and are stoked to help you catch your first fish.

  • Definitely. Captain Jake grew up fishing and loves to help young anglers make the same kind of great memories he has on the water.

  • All charters canceled outside of 30 days before the scheduled trip will be fully refunded. Any other cancellation or rescheduling will be subject to a loss of deposit at the discretion of Stout Sportfishing.

  • Yes, there is.

  • The boat is equipped with modern technology, a ton of deck space, an enclosed cabin, a private bathroom, and most importantly, all of the USCG safety requirements.
